Kim K’s Fun Fact List Is Surprisingly Relatable

Just because Kim Kardashian happens to be a super rich, super famous, and super accomplished human doesn't mean she isn't a spooky sleeper like the rest of us. On Thursday, Kardashian shared 20 facts about herself on her website, and I am proud to say that I identified with more than one piece of Kimmy K trivia. Yes, I, the same person who just washed down half a sleeve of Ritz crackers with some lukewarm coffee, have a few notable things in common with the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star. With the "Jam (Turn It Up)" singer. With Chrissy Teigen's book club buddy. What a world.

Now, I do not relate to all 20 of the items on Kardashian’s list. Just some (and hey, I will take what I kan get). For starters, I do not “hate cilantro, mustard, peppers, blue cheese, and red velvet." I do not “hate cardboard.” I’ve had many a “cold coffee drink from Starbucks or Coffee Bean” in my day. And I certainly did not go to “tennis camp in Ojai with Allison.”

So, what do Kardashian and I have in kommon? Here are the items from Kardashian’s riveting “20 Things You Didn’t Know About Me” list that truly spoke to me.

Thing #11: “I Have A Nail File And Cuticle Cutter With Me At All Times. In My Purse, Travel Bag, Everywhere. I’m Obsessed With My Nails And Cuticles. If My Nails Are Chipped Or Not Perfect, I Feel Filthy.”

OK, I don’t have nail supplies on my person 24/7, but I do feel really grimy whenever my fingernails are in a bad state. (And oops, I let my nails get gnarly on a fairly regular basis.) So, I totally get where she's coming from.

Huh. Maybe if I did carry a nail kit with me, I wouldn’t go days without fixing them. The days of glaring at my chipped enamel and busted nail beds could be a thing of the past. What a great tip, Kimmy K.

Thing #13: “I Jumped Out Of A Plane Sky Diving When I Was 20 Years Old And Now I’m So Afraid Of Heights.”

Same. Well, sort of same. I’ve never gone sky diving, but I have flipped around on one of those bungee cable trampoline jump things. And that was enough of an adrenaline rush for me.

Thing #9: “I Sleep With My Eyes Slightly Open And It Scares The Sh*t Out Of People.”

I also scare the sh*t out of people when I sleep. Now, I don’t catch Zs with my eyes slightly open, but I have been known to scream-cackle while I snooze. Friends and family members alike tell me it's extremely unsettling.

Thing #18: “I Drove To Arizona To Visit Kourtney In College And Brought Her My Car. We Swapped BMWs, LOL. I Had A Smaller White One She Wanted And She Had A Bigger Black One I Wanted.”

I’ve never done a BMW swap. I've never driven anywhere to meet up with Kourtney. But do you know what I have done? Road-tripped to Arizona. Wow. Kim K and I are basically twins, huh?

Thing #6: “I Have A Freckle On My Eyeball.”

What do you know, I too have a freckle on my eyeball. If I ever met Kardashian, I’d be sure to bring this up. Could be an exciting thing to bond over.

On second thought, if I ever met Kardashian, I'd probably just want to talk about cardboard. I don't know if I've ever heard of someone hating cardboard before. This hot take is so weird, I just might love it. I wonder if she'd be cool with cardboard if the word started with a "K."
