Love Is Blind’s Bliss & Zack Are Expecting Their First Child
It’s the first pregnancy announcement to come from a couple who got married on the U.S. Netflix series.
The first Love Is Blind baby is coming soon. On Nov. 21, Season 4 contestants Bliss Poureetezadi-Goytowski and Zack Goytowski announced that they are expecting their first child, marking the first pregnancy announcement to come from a couple who got married on the U.S. Netflix series.
The couple told PEOPLE that they will welcome their first baby in spring 2024. “It’s a little bit nerve-wracking, but I think it’s also such a beautiful thing,” Bliss told the outlet. “Babies are miracles and blessings, and I think we’ve been so open to sharing our journey and our relationship with the world, and this is our next big beautiful thing.”
They have not yet found out the sex of their baby, but are planning to hold a sex reveal in the next couple of months. “I think we both eventually want a boy and a girl — that’d be wonderful to have both,” she said.
“But the top priority is just having a healthy baby and whatever gender it is, it will be very loved.”
Bliss and Zack first met on Season 4 but didn’t get engaged before meeting face-to-face, as Zack initially decided to pursue a relationship with contestant Irina Solomonova.
However, he quickly regretted that decision and reunited with Bliss after breaking things off with Irina. The pair became one of the couples who ended up saying “I do” on the season finale.
Months later, the couple started trying to have a baby, but their pregnancy still came as a surprise. “I found out early in the morning while Zack was sleeping and it was shocking,” Bliss recalled.
“It was like, does that really say positive? What is happening? It was definitely probably one of the most surreal moments of my life.”
The way Bliss decided to tell Zack was a bit more confusing. “She told me her mother sent us a cake for her birthday,” he recalled. “So Bliss is like, ‘Open up the cake,’ and I read it and it says, ‘I Love You, Dad.’ And I'm like, ‘What? Why is your mom calling me that?’”
But once he realized, the tears started flowing. “I was incredibly happy,” he said. “We both really wanted this and so we just felt really blessed that we were able to have this happen.”
