One of the OGs of BBC’s famed dance show, Karen Hauer has been a part of the Strictly Come Dancing family since 2012 and has become the longest serving female professional on the show. Viewers watched Hauer and Mark Wright lift the glitterball trophy in the twelfth series of Strictly in 2014. But we’ve also watched Hauer go through the highs and lows of her relationships, including her separation from fellow Strictly pro Kevin Clifton. But now, the 40-year-old dancer has tied the knot, marrying Jordan Wyn-Jones in an intimate wedding ceremony in Hampshire. But who is Jordan Wyn-Jones? Here’s what we know about Hauer’s husband.

Hailing from Australia, the 33-year-old is a fitness professional and regularly posts fitness content (and dogs, of course) to his Instagram. Announcing his relationship with Hauer on Instagram in September 2021, Wyn-Jones captioned a photo of him and Karen with, “32 years. definitely worth all that life could throw at me so that I could have you in my arms. How can a donut like me get so lucky to have met my person? Can’t wait to have you home.”

The couple went public with their relationship in July 2021, regularly taking to their Instagram accounts to share snippets of their life together. However, there was no public announcement of an engagement, which left some fans surprised at the sound of wedding bells.

Speaking about their special day, Hauer told Hello!, “It feels like a fairytale day, it felt so special to bring our families and friends together.” She added that, “I haven't seen my family for the last two years so it’s really touching to bring them here and be able to share this amazing moment with them.”

Hauer went on to explain that the couple had had to keep everything under wraps whilst she was touring with Strictly: "I think people will be surprised... It felt precious to have our little secret in our back pocket, but it’s nice to come out and say: 'Hey, we're married!'"

The pair got married in Hampshire’s Chewton Glen, where Wyn-Jones proposed in December. The luxurious hotel and spa is set against a backdrop of 130 acres of idyllic countryside. Some familiar faces were at the ceremony, with fellow Strictly dancers Luba Mushtuk (who was Hauer’s bridesmaid) and Janette Manrara in attendance. The couple said that the big day was “exactly what we had envisioned, but even better. It was like a breath of fresh air for us. Everything was easy and happy."

Hauer wore a gown with white floral applique accents made by bridal designer Berta that she described as her “fairytale” dress. Wyn-Jones recalled the moment he “started welling up when he first saw his wife in her dress. “It was something I’d been looking forward to for a while. She looked incredible."

Bustle has reached out to Hauer and Wyn-Jones for comment and will update this piece when more info is available.
