These days it seems like a new celebrity feud is ignited almost every day. And let’s be honest: as hard as it is to see celebrities publicly go against each other, there’s no denying that watching the drama unfold is entertaining. From Kanye West's long-running feud with Taylor Swift to Nicki Minaj's MTV VMA blunder with Miley Cyrus, you can always count on a Hollywood beef to be the topic of conversation somewhere. But what about the
celebrity feuds you might have forgotten about?
So many A-list celebs have found themselves duking it out in the public eye in the last few decades that it's actually been difficult to keep up with all of the beefs that have taken place. Do you remember Madonna and Courtney Love's iconic (and extremely awkward) encounter on the 1995 Video Music Awards red carpet? How about the equally unfortunate and unexpected alleged bad blood between Sarah Jessica Parker and her
Sex and the City co-star Kim Cattrall? The memories of some celebrity feuds have managed to get lost in time. Thankfully I'm here to refresh your memory and remind you of all the classic celebrity beefs you probably (definitely) forgot about. Madonna vs. Courtney Love
These two divas had a pretty subtle showdown back in 1995 at the MTV Video Music Awards. Love ended up crashing a post-show interview segment between Madonna and Kurt Loder and things took a turn for the extremely interesting. It ends with a quip from Madonna that quickly became a classic: “Courtney Love is in dire need of attention right now.” So iconic.
Perez Hilton vs. Will.i.am
Back in 2009, Perez Hilton took to Twitter to claim that
he was allegedly assaulted by Will.i.am outside of an award show in Canada. Apparently during an exchange of words, Hilton called the Black Eyed Peas front man a ‘f----t,’ resulting in a alleged punch in the face from the group’s manager, Liborio "Polo" Molina. Paris Hilton vs. Nicole Richie
Don’t believe anyone who tells you that Paris and Nicole weren’t best friend goals back in the early 2000s. Just a few years after starring in
The Simple Life alongside each other, the two abruptly stopped speaking to each other, and to this day it’s still not clear what lead to their falling out, though it was rumored that Nicole became jealous of the attention Paris received after the leak of her sex tape. Iggy Azalea vs. Snoop Dogg
As most beefs do these days, this one between Iggy Azalea and Snoop Dogg began via social media. Back in 2014, Snoop Dogg shared a photo of a woman with albinism on Instagram, comparing her to Iggy Azalea. Needless to say, the Aussie rapper didn’t take that too well, and the two went back and forth on Instagram and Twitter until
Snoop Dogg called a truce and apologized following a conversation with Iggy’s former mentor, T.I. Hilary Duff vs. Lindsay Lohan
The two former child stars were rumored to have been caught up in a
love triangle with teen heartthrob Aaron Carter. The alleged feud began in 2003 after Carter, who had been dating Duff for almost two years, also began dating Lohan. Lohan and Duff very passive-aggressively attempted to show each other up during red carpet appearances, and Lohan poked fun at the situation during an in 2004. SNL monologue Eminem vs. Mariah Carey
This unlikely former couple allegedly began dating in 2001 after discussing the possibility of a collaboration. Over the years, rumors swirled about the pair dating, which Carey repeatedly denied.
Things came to a head in 2009 though, when Eminem released a brutal diss track toward the R&B singer after she parodied him and, again, denied ever being romantically involved with him in her song “Obsessed.” Sarah Jessica Parker vs. Kim Cattrall Andreas Rentz/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images
They may have been the best of friends on screen but
rumors have stated that when the cameras weren’t rolling, The Sex and the City actors allegedly didn’t get along very well. Which is sad to say, because this is probably one of the only celebrity feuds out of them all that many probably wouldn’t have even been able to guess would occur. Rihanna vs. Ciara Scott Gries/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images
It all started when Ciara appeared as a guest judge on E!’s
Fashion Police in 2011. When it came time to judge an ensemble that Rihanna had previously worn, Ciara alleged that the “Work” singer wasn’t very nice to her when they crossed paths. The subtle jab resulted in a very public Twitter feud between the two singers. They were able to bury the hatchet until 2013, when another comment from Ciara ended up reigniting the feud. Christina Aguilera vs. Kelly Osbourne Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images
Kelly Osbourne withheld nothing when she
fat-shamed Christina Aguilera during an interview with Glamour. The former Fashion Police star spoke about her ongoing feud with Aguilera saying, "She called me fat for years. I said, 'F––– you, now you're fat, too! ... Now you know how it feels!" Both ladies have since buried the hatchet. Shannen Doherty vs. Alyssa Milano
The two former
Charmed co-stars had their fair share of drama when they starred alongside each other in the '90s series. After Doherty made her exit from the show in 2001, she revealed to that “there was too much drama on the set and not enough passion for the work.” Entertainment Tonight
“I’m 30 years old and I don’t have time for drama in my life anymore. I’ll miss Holly a lot … she’s one of my best friends and I love her dearly, and there were never, ever, ever any problems between the two of us." Tyra Banks vs. Naomi Campbell Michael Buckner/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images
The feud between these supermodels easily goes down as one of biggest celebrity feuds in history. The models butted heads for years before Banks finally invited Campbell on her talk show to hash things out. Since then, they've both made amends.
Ah, so many important memories. It's only a matter of time before the next iconic feud happens right before our eyes.
