16 Tweets That Perfectly Describe Episode 2 Of Rachel's 'Bachelorette' Season
To be honest, I really didn't know what to make of this Bachelorette season when I watched the premiere episode. The concentration on the "Whaboom" nonsense was a little too much for me, but it turned out that the next episode was prime entertainment. So, of course, fans wrote lots of tweets in response to Episode 2 of Rachel Lindsay's Bachelorette season.
There was just so much going on that the fandom could not help tweeting up a storm: The whaboom antics continued (unfortunately). Rachel's "friends" Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar stopped by for the group dates. There was plenty of awkward conversation to make the viewers cringe at home. Rachel's dog, Copper, crashed one of her dates. And finally, DeMario's ex-girlfriend showed up and some serious drama ensued. Thankfully, aside from all that drama, Rachel actually did have some genuine chemistry with some of the guys.
Overall, it was an epic episode. I was pretty annoyed when it ended without a rose ceremony. That is the worst. But aside from that, I was more than satisfied by all of the drama that went down, and clearly, I was not the only one who felt that way since Twitter was blowing up during the episode and into the next morning.
1. Whaboom Is Just So Confusing
OMG I didn't think I could love Ashton Kutcher anymore ... UNTIL he expressed his WHABOOM confusion!! 😂😂#TheBachelorette— Jillian Harris (@jillianharris) May 30, 2017
Whaboom is annoying, unclear, and unnecessary. I wish whoever was putting this show together dismissed it just as easily as Ashton did.
2. The Jared Haibon Shoutout Was Everything
Ashton referencing how Jared looks like him is the most iconic moment of this franchise #TheBachelorette— Trash Talk (@trashtalkpod) May 30, 2017
This really was great. I'm still not over it and I'm sure that Jared feels the same way.
3. The Irony Of Blake Calling Out Lucas Was Too Good
Can Rachel please eliminate them both?
4. The Commentary From Kenny Was On Point
Thank god for Kenny. We all needed a laugh during that awkward group date.
5. The Fandom Can't Help Rooting For Kenny
Kenny is precious and genuine and sweet and may be the saving grace of this weird date. #TheBachelorette— Princess Problems (@PrincessProbz) May 30, 2017
With all of the weirdos still left on this show, it is so refreshing to have someone so genuine like Kenny to stand out from the crowd.
6. The Connection Between Rachel & Dean Is Undeniable
That group date was difficult to watch until Dean and Rachel had some private time and the audience finally got to watch a legitimate love connection.
7. The Lipstick Was Everywhere
Don't get me wrong, Rachel looked fierce last night, but that lipstick got all over Dean when they kissed.
8. The Gap Tooth Convo Was Endearing
Peter + Rachel + Copper + their matching gaps 4ever. I'm done 😍❤#TheBachelorette— Amanda Stanton (@amandastantonnn) May 30, 2017
Rachel and Peter talking about the gaps in their teeth was so sweet. Can they please just get married and produce some gap-toothed babies?
9. The Front-Runner Is Peter
Does Peter have a brother? I'm a smitten kitten, too. #TheBachelorette— Olivia Caridi (@OliviaCaridi) May 30, 2017
I don't blame Rachel for being into Peter. We are all into Peter.
10. The Kareem Cameo Should Be A Regular Thing
Someone get Kareem his own reality dating show spin-off where he gives sage advice to vulnerable Millennials. #TheBachelorette— Sophie Vershbow (@svershbow) May 30, 2017
Maybe Kareem and Chris Harrison can serve as co-hosts?
11. The DeMario Confidence Was Sky High
DeMario "seems a little cocky".....comparing yourself to Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter is cocky? Who knew? #Thebachelorette— The Megavitamin (@TheMegavitamin) May 30, 2017
Leave the Michael Jordan comparisons to Corinne Olympios, DeMario. She does it better.
12. The DeMario Lies Got Out Of Hand
DeMario: "Who is this? I dont know her."— Sandra Di (@Sandra_Di_) May 30, 2017
Also DeMario: "We met a few times."
Also DeMario: "I mailed your keys back!"#TheBachelorette
13. The Ex-Girlfriend Was Pretty Extra
Ok, but is no one going to bring up the fact that Demario's Ex swore on her "kittens at home in bed right now" #TheBachelorette— Sarah W (@tiedye98) May 30, 2017
There's no doubt that this situation was a bad look for DeMario, but his ex definitely had some interesting turns of phrases.
14. The Bachelorette Isn't Playing Around
15. The Lack Of A Rose Ceremony Was So Frustrating
We need a rose ceremony every week!
16. The Return Of DeMario Was Both Amazing & Annoying
I was wondering why they didn't stretch the DeMario drama into next week and apparently God is real because here we are #TheBachelorette— Michelle Collins (@michcoll) May 30, 2017
I'm not going to lie, I thrive on the drama.
I need next week's episode and I need it now. I can't be engulfed in two hours of this drama and cut off cold turkey. I'm ready for more Bachelorette.
