8 Harry Potter Cookie Cutters, Because It's Always Baking Season

Though Christmas is now behind us, there's absolutely no reason to cease with the season's greatest activity: cookie-baking. I can't really think of a downside to keeping the cookies coming all yearlong. The smell of them working their magic in the oven is worth the modicum of work. I like all cookies, but personally I think it's a minor tragedy that Christmas sugar cookies seem to be reserved for December. What could be more fun than painstakingly punching out discs of dough and then bedazzling said-discs of dough with icing and sprinkles? The answer? Punching out and bedazzling cookies inspired by everyone's favorite boy wizard.

These Harry Potter cookie cutters may seem Christmasy, but don't let yourself be constrained by the season. Who wouldn't want a plate of Hogwarts gingerbread munchies on any old Monday? And, frankly, cookie cutters are the perfect thing to keep on hand, especially if you're someone who loves A) baking and B) decorating gifts. Cookie cutters are just so darn cute when they're looped through ribbon and sitting on top of a present. They're easy favors, lightweight and practical. And, of course, they suggest an activity--making and decorating cookies--that can be easily accomplished while binge-watching your favorite J.K. Rowling creations.
