A Pregnant Kylie Jenner Halloween Costume Has Arrived & It’s Just As Ridiculous As It Sounds
Unless you haven't been keeping up with entertainment news at all, you know that some major news was recently reported about the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister. According to multiple reports, Kylie Jenner is pregnant. And with October 31 approaching, it was only a matter of time before there was a pregnant Kylie Jenner Halloween costume that showcases the lip kit maven with a full baby bump. Only in 2017, folks.
Jenner still hasn't confirmed the news herself, but that didn't stop people from hopping on the pregnancy news bandwagon and creating this costume. Yandy.com is selling a "Reality Star In The Making Costume", which includes a baby bump and a skin-tight dress. Unfortunately, the costume doesn't include the wig or phone the model is shown wearing and holding, so you'll have to provide those key accessories yourself if you want that authentic Kylie Jenner look.
The website doesn't name Jenner in its description of the costume, but anyone can figure out that the costume is supposed to represent the the reality star. What other young reality star was recently reported to be pregnant, has a penchant for selfies, and (currently, as least) has long raven locks? The photo is even captioned on the Yandy Instagram page, "Keeping Up With Halloween ... lip kit not included". It's a no brainer.
A pregnant Kylie Jenner costume was bound to come out with Halloween approaching, but doesn't make it any less weird to see this come out before Jenner has even confirmed anything. She hasn't even sent out a mere Snapchat to confirm and a pregnancy costume is already here!
In case the other comparisons weren't enough, Jenner posted a photo one week ago of herself in a white wrap dress incredibly similar to the one in the costume.
While this pregnant Kylie Jenner costume is simply ridiculous, the Kardashian/Jenner fam has faced far worse when it comes to ill-conceived Halloween costumes. Just last year, a costume came out which showcased Jenner's older sister Kim Kardashian bound and gagged, which was indicative of the star's robbery ordeal. Costumeish released the very insensitive "Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Kit" last year only a couple of weeks after Kardashian's terrifying robbery in Paris. Because of all of the backlash the site received, it removed the costume and stopped any further sales of it. The site sent out the following tweet, commenting on the controversy: "Due to the extensive out-lash we have decided to remove the 'Parisian Heist' costume from out website. We are sorry if it offended anyone."
Caitlyn Jenner was also connected to a controversial Halloween costume that was released in 2015. After she appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair in that classic white corset in 2015, Halloween costume retailer Spirit released a costume that appeared to emulate Caitlyn's look on that cover. Other retailers offered Caitlyn Jenner costumes, according to CNN, but Spirit was the company that was the subject of an online petition to block the Caitlyn costume from being sold. The petition stated that, "To make a costume out of a marginalized identity reduces that person and community to a stereotype for privileged people to abuse." Spirit continued to sell the costume, despite the outcry. According to CNN, their spokeswomen, Lisa Barr, said, "At Spirit Halloween we create a wide range of costumes that are often based on celebrities, public figures, heroes, and superheroes. Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and our Caitlyn-inspired costume reflects just that."
While the Kardashian and Caitlyn costumes were insensitive, this pregnant Kylie Jenner costume is pretty ridiculous in its own way. Kardashian has been slamming rumors related to Jenner and her reported pregnancy on Twitter recently, perhaps she'll give her two cents on this costume, too.
