Crayola Crayon-Inspired Nail Polishes Are A Thing Now
Adult coloring books are a popular trend and the wonderful world and colors of Crayola are certainly inspiring the beauty world. Hot on the heels of the Clinique x Crayola Chubby Stick lippies, drugstore nail brand Sally Hansen and Crayola are launching a line of nail polishes inspired by some of the brand's core colors.
A 12-shade line drops on Jul. 1, according to PopSugar. The polishes will cost $5 and are formulated with the brand's Insta-Dri 3-in-1 complex, meaning the polishes will dry in a jiffy and eliminate the need for base and top coats. You can paint your nails quickly and resume you favorite summer activities without wasting time drying or worrying about chips, smudges, smears, or nicks!
What colors are the Crayola polishes? Oh, I am glad you asked! Or, at the very least, thought about asking.
You will get pinks (Razzmatazz, Carnation Pink), blues (Cerulean and Denim), reds (Wild Strawberry and Scarlet), and purples (Vivid Violet and Purple Heart), as well as the are-what-their-name-suggests shades like Sunset Orange, White, Granny Smith Apple, and Dandelion.
It's a rainbow that really will remind you of when you worked hard to stay inside the lines and chose colors from the 64-strong box with the built-in sharpener.
The polish bottle caps are the same color as the polish inside and boast the instantly recognizable Crayola squiggle graphic.
This is Cerulean and it's my favorite shade.
Razzmatazz is the hottest pink out there.
Dandelion will brighten your day and your digits.
Vivid Violet is exactly what it's name suggests.
Granny Smith Apple is a gorgeous green.
Carnation Pink is one of the most wearable shades in the entire Crayola collection.
Wild Strawbery is incredibly delish.
What a bright beauty Sunset Orange is.
You can't have a nail polish collection like this without a signature red like Scarlet.
Denim is a classic, pedi-ready blue..
Purple Heart is also pedi-ready!
You can get creative with nail art with all of these colors, including the basic beauty that is White.
You might not be able to whip out a Care Bears coloring book — and maybe we leave that to Storybook Cosmetics, which keeps teasing Care Bear images on Insta, making me think the brand is collaborating with the toy company— and indulge your desire to craft a work of art. But this polish collection will certainly transport you to a simpler time in a beautiful way.
It's all about the nostalgia and, well, the pigmentation!
