It was only two weeks ago that Bachelor in Paradise fans learned that Season 4 stars Derek Peth and Taylor Nolan had gotten engaged, so naturally the next question on everyone's mind is when Derek and Taylor's wedding date will be. Followers of the reality television and social media stars surely want to know the details, and even though it's probably a little soon to expect that Derek and Taylor might have set an official wedding date, there are some clues we can look to in order to predict when the marriage ceremony will take place. And more importantly, when fans would be able to watch their wedding special, if they choose to get married on TV.

Although it may be bold to predict there is going to be a televised Derek and Taylor wedding special, there is some history to support the idea. So far, there have been two couples who have fallen in love on BiP and gone on to get married, and viewers had a chance to watch both of those ceremonies on TV.

With Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper it was in the form of a standalone Bachelor wedding special that aired on Valentine's Day in 2016 — just six months after they got engaged on BiP Season 2. As People reports, the special honored the 20th Season milestone for the reality dating franchise.

Then there was Carly Waddell and Evan Bass, whose wedding was featured during an episode of the current season of BiP, meaning they got married about a year after they got engaged. Both ceremonies were officiated by Bachelor host Chris Harrison, so it's probably safe to assume that if Derek and Taylor get married on TV, they will be saying their "I do's" in front of Chris, as well.

On Aug. 30, Us Weekly reported that Derek and Taylor had gotten engaged. Although viewers won't get to see the proposal go down on the beaches of Mexico — as it didn't happen during the main production of BiPDerek reportedly asked Taylor to marry him in front of cameras during the after show, so fans will get to see the joyful moment during the Season 4 finale, airing on Monday night.

A source claimed that the proposal was a surprised to everyone. "No one knew Derek was going to propose," a source told Us at the time. Which seems like a bit of a stretch. Maybe their cast mates didn't know, but he at least ran the proposal idea by producers, right? Let's not forget, BiP is a reality show — a popular dating competition, yes, but a reality show nonetheless. Producers are very involved in what viewers get to see, and if Derek was planning to pop the question, it would be a surprise if he didn't tell anyone.

So, when can us fans expect to tune in and see Taylor walk down the aisle? Well, they'll have to agree to have a televised wedding first, if that's even something that interests them. If it does and the show decides to follow a similar pattern — and they frequently do with Bachelor scheduling — then we could get a Derek and Taylor wedding special this Valentine's Day or as part of the next season of Bachelor in Paradise during the summer of 2018. Either option would be welcome by fans who have enjoyed seeing these two fall in love and are always open to watching two stars of the franchise get married and join the list Bachelor success stories.
