Oct. 26 marked the 70th birthday of Hillary Clinton, and while hundreds of Americans showered her with well wishes, the son of the current president of the United States took a different approach. Instead of saying the usual "Happy Birthday," Donald Trump Jr. attacked Hillary Clinton on her birthday, screenshotting a year-old tweet she had posted during the campaign season and calling her arrogant.

Trump Jr. took a screenshot of a tweet from Oct. 26, 2016, in which Clinton's account tweeted out a school-age photo of the then-presidential candidate and wrote, "Happy birthday to this future president." Trump Jr. wrote, "A year later the arrogance and entitlement in this tweet is exactly why it was never going to happen. #maga."

But that wasn't the only tweet Trump Jr. posted on Clinton's birthday. Soon after, he wrote "Happy birthday Hillary" with the cake emoji and linked to a Fox & Friends tweet about the Department of Justice and the "Russian uranium deal" from 2010 that Republican lawmakers have decided to investigate.

For her part, Clinton's only tweet on her birthday this year has so far been a call to action regarding health care. "Children are going to lose their health care," she wrote in a response to a tweet about the loss of CHIP funding. "No one should want that. Call your member of Congress and tell them to act: 202-224-3121."

The reactions to Trump Jr.'s attack on the former secretary of state's birthday were mixed. Some joined in with their own Photoshopped version of the image, while some expressed frustration that Trump Jr. decided to try to start something with her as she turned 70.

And, of course, others ignored Trump Jr.'s tweet entirely and just wished Clinton the happiest birthday.

The partisan divides were as clear as ever on Clinton's birthday, but she received a happy present outside of the online world on Thursday. The Women's Media Center presented her with the WMC Wonder Woman Award. According to the press release, Clinton is the only woman to have received this award.

"Like Wonder Woman, she seems to have superhuman strength, resilience, and courage," the Women's Media Center news release read. "She also blazes new paths so that everyone has equal opportunity to pursue their dreams, and she has done much of it in the face of enemy fire."
