Emma Watson Was Belle IRL In A Yellow Dior Gown

Certain as the sun rises in the east, Emma Watson's most recent style moment was undeniably head-turning. But it wasn't just because she looked glamorous and chic (which she pretty much always does). Watson waltzed into a reading for the New York Film Society for Kids on March 13 wearing a pale yellow Dior gown reminiscent of none other than Belle herself.

If there was any doubt that Watson was the literal perfect choice to star in the much-anticipated Beauty And The Beast adaption, she most definitely just erased it. To be honest, it's almost surprising that she hasn't opted to wear a yellow gown to a red carpet premiere yet, but I sort of love that she didn't go for the obvious choice at one of the more prominent events.

In fact, most of the photographs of her at the NYC event show her behind a podium. Granted, it was translucent, but still, this is a dress I want to see in all of its Disney-inspired glory. From what we can see though, the flowing dress had dainty straps, and open back, and a dreamy A-line silhouette. An elegant diamond choker and necklace completed the look.

Who knows, though — maybe the full details of this look will end up on her fabulous Instagram account, @the_press_tour, which chronicles her gorgeous and eco-friendly style choices throughout the film's promotional whirlwind. Till then, we'll settle for this peek at the princess-worthy dress.

Come to think of it, that book makes a pretty perfect Belle accessory, too.
