Everything Leaving & Coming To Netflix In January 2018, So You Can Kick Your Year Off Right

For all the digital streaming enthusiasts out there probing for a new fix: It's that time of year again. Which time, you ask? (Besides the imminent arrival of 2018, that is.) It's time to celebrate, mourn, or otherwise anticipate those titles that will be leaving and coming to Netflix in January 2018. You know, so you can grieve-watch that season of Lost one last time before the video platform dispatches it back to the cyber repository from whence it came.

Netflix just unveiled its list of newbies — as well as those titles launching their farewell tour — and, if it's January registrar is any indication, the new year looks like it's gearing up to be a pop cultural homage, of sorts, to the classics. And, to those who love a good organized crime thriller: You're in luck. Right from the get-go, Netflix is slated to roll out the crème de la crème of crime-themed anthologies, featuring a handful of those timeless pop cultural villains that everybody and their grandmother love to hate. (Or, at least love to watch.)

The old-Hollywood staples will pile out first, with the entire Godfather trilogy (that's right, all 9-plus hours of it) kicking off its Netflix run on Jan. 1. This, in addition to all four Lethal Weapon installments (because, apparently, there are four of them), as well as a solid chunk of the Batman franchise — which, across five films, spans more than five decades.

And, while Netflix bolsters both its crime and superhero genres, it's soon-to-be-updated queuing options also tout a different kind of classic. In conjunction with its mob dramas, Netflix will also be adding 1961's Breakfast At Tiffany's to its upcoming viewing repertoire, as well as the latest installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean series and the newest season of Grace and Frankie. As far as the beloved titles to which we must bid farewell, prepare accordingly.
