Here's The Scoop With Sephora Pres. Day Discounts

by Rachel Nussbaum

IMHO, President's Day is the nonevent holiday. Year after year, the three-day weekend catches me off guard. Tax holidays! What they lack in cultural capital, they make up for in the element of surprise — and as an added bonus, President's Day sales are nothing to sneeze at. As impressive as Labor Day sales, Memorial Day sales, Black Friday or Cyber Monday? No. But a light at the end of the winter tunnel, with all the major holidays, even Valentine's Day, passed and done with. President's Day is what we cling to, and there's no better relief than a makeup sale to raise your spirits. So, we turn to everyone's favorite haven: Is Sephora having a President's Day sale? Here's the intel.

The retailer doesn't seem to be commemorating the day with a dedicated sale (Bustle has reached out to the brand for confirmation). Even if they aren't having a specific sale for the holiday, their section is still full of deep cuts if you feel like doing Washington proud in this specific way.

Multiple Urban Decay palettes, a Sephora Collection lip stain, Kat Von D liner and brush conditioner fill out the post-holiday sale section goods, so the picking is very sweet. The retailer might not be having an official sale, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Vintage Capsule Collection in Bruise, $11, Sephora.com

A remnant from Urban Decay's vintage lipstick revival collection, Bruise is a sheer, deep burgundy that delivers. This kind of shade is so easy to wear because it stays within the realm of a natural red, with the kind of flush your body could conceivably create on its own.

Smashbox Master Class Palette: Lighting Theory, $45, Sephora.com

Salivation emoji. Hot picks in this guy include 16 eyeshadows, four color correctors, three blushes, three contouring creams, and three cream highlighters. Your own YouTube channel isn't included, but with a pre-made Get the Look guide, it could be mere minutes away.

SEPHORA COLLECTION Cream Lip Stain in 02 Peach Tart, $7, Sephora.com

Following the huge expansion of Sephora's Cream Lip Stains, OG color 02 Peach Tart was price-slashed. Too soon to tell if this is goodbye for good, but it's a great opp to stock up if this is your ride/die.

Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette, $24, Sephora.com

Down from $49, this set of 10 vibrant colors can be yours for a mere $24 (see also: their Vice lip palette for $20).

Kat Von D Lightning Liner, $12, Sephora.com

Kat Von D's liners in Hex, a deep burgundy plum, Fyfe, a metallic khaki green, and Ludwig, a metallic amber, are going for $12 each, down from $20.

Jurlique Calendula Redness Rescue Soothing Moisturising Cream, $36.80, Sephora.com

Jurlique's naturo-luxe products are usually on the triple dollar side of worthwhile, so snag this anti-inflammatory cream on the cheap(er) while you can.

SEPHORA COLLECTION Midnight Magic Face and Body Glitter Pots in Holographic, $11, Sephora.com

This gleaming powder goes on silky smooth, while the netted pot keeps things neat. Pat on top of lipstick for the metallic look, or use as highlighter for ethereal alien nights (as one does).

SEPHORA COLLECTION Perfect Condition Brush Conditioner, $5, Sephora.com

You've heard of brush shampoo (hopefully) but brush conditioner takes things one step further. Described as "a maintenance product to extend the life of your cosmetic brushes," the conditioner is basically life support for discontinued holy grails. As they say, "Some brushes have clearly outlived their life span, but are difficult to replace. This conditioner was developed to breathe new life into weathered brushes. It protects cosmetic brushes by restoring softness to the bristles, moisturizing, and preventing breakage." As I say, praise hands emoji.

In sum: President's Day at Sephora, not really a thing — but sales are already abundant.
