Jennifer Aniston's Birthday Celebration Had A Mini 'Friends' Reunion & '90s Kids Will Adore The Photos
Are you sitting down? You should sit down. Jennifer Aniston celebrated her 49th birthday in Malibu, Calif., and was reportedly joined by — not one, but — two of her former Friends co-stars for a mini Friends reunion. One of those Friends friends was Aniston's longtime BFF, Monica Gellar AKA Courtney Cox. No surprise there. But the other Friends friend — according to an image that is reportedly from Will Speck's Instagram Stories, and has recently been shared on multiple fan accounts on Twitter — was none-other than Phoebe Buffay AKA Lisa Kudrow. Permission to freak out granted.
On Feb. 12, Hollywood manager and producer Aleen Keshishian shared a photo on Instagram with the caption, "#happybirthday to my sister from another mother #jenniferaniston [heart emoji] u so much!" In the picture, Aniston — looking tan and beautiful — is joined by a bunch of gal pals, including longtime friend Andrea Bendewald and New York Times bestselling author Mandy Ingber. Cox can be seen kneeling down in the front, dressed in all black and looking beautiful as well.
While Kudrow is noticeably absent from this particular picture, the aforementioned Instagram Stories image shows Kudrow sitting directly next to Aniston while the birthday girl blows out her candles on a cake. R.I.P., Every Single Friends Fan On Earth, because this birthday reunion is so good.
Of course, this isn't the first time the three ladies have reportedly hung out together since the show wrapped in 2004. Just last year, People reported that Kudrow and Aniston helped Cox celebrate her 53rd birthday at Chateau Marmont. In 2016, TMZ reported that the trio had dined together at Craig's, but only managed to snap pics of them separately.
While we can't confirm that the Instagram Stories snap with Kudrow is, in fact, from Aniston's 2018 Malibu birthday bash, just the idea of the Friends girl-gang getting back together is pretty exciting — especially considering how devastating that faux Friends movie trailer was. Sorry for reminding you of that very painful memory.
But wait — there's more! Can you handle it? Even though it doesn't appear as if former Friends guest star Reese Witherspoon was present at the party, she did wish Aniston a "Happy Birthday" in an Instagram post that featured an on-set throwback shot. "Happy Birthday to my work sister #JenniferAniston," Witherspoon captioned the pic. "[hearts emoji] [cake emoji] Wishing you a day filled with lots of love and laughter ! #HBD."
Fans of Friends will undoubtedly remember that Witherspoon appeared on two episodes of the show as Jill Green, the youngest sister of Aniston's Rachel Green. The picture that Witherspoon posted is from one of those very episodes, and, seriously — they still look the same. It's almost impossible to believe that it's been almost 20 years since Witherspoon and Aniston appeared together.
Of course, Aniston got some birthday shout-outs from a few non-Friends friends, too. Comedian Fortune Feimster joked in a tweet, "Happy birthday to my beautiful identical twin, Jennifer Aniston! It’s weird how my birthday is on a different day." Ellen DeGeneres sent her best wishes to Aniston on Twitter as well, just a few days after the former Friends star helped the talk show host celebrate her 60th birthday on Jan. 26. "Jennifer Aniston, I love you like a friend who loves me more than she loves @Oprah. Happy birthday," DeGeneres captioned a video compilation of Aniston's appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
So, Happy 49th Birthday, Jennifer Aniston! Hope it was a good one. Cheers to a long and happy life, and may you one day share the secrets of your eternal youth with the rest of us.
