This couple has some very happy news! As confirmed to E! News by his rep, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going to be a dad of two. His wife, Tasha McCauley, is pregnant with their second child. They are already parents to a son. On Wednesday, the Snowden star was spotted walking around Beverly Hills with McCauley, who also appeared to be sporting a baby bump. Well, it turns out that she most definitely is.
Gordon-Levitt and McCauley are one celebrity couple who'd rather stay mum about their personal life, especially when it comes to their children. When they welcomed their first child in August 2015, it came as quite a surprise to fans. They didn't make a public announcement that they were going to be parents, nor did they reveal their son's name after confirming that they welcomed a baby. As The Dark Knight Rises star's rep told People, they would not be revealing their son's name.
Privacy is a huge thing for both of them. In September 2015, Gordon-Levitt appeared on Live! With Kelly and Michael, where he opened up about the importance of protecting his child. "Being in the public eye is a great thing," he admitted. "It allows me to do what I love to do, which is act in movies, but it's a choice that I made."
That said, the 36-year-old added, "My son, he's just a baby, you know? He hasn't made the choice to be in the public eye, and that's a choice that I would like him to be able to make when he's older, when he can think about these kinds of things and make that decision for himself." He continued, "And so, for now, I'm just a protective dad, and I want to protect his privacy."
Well, I can't blame him for that one bit. He and McCauley are clearly great parents for putting their family first, protecting them, and only wanting the best for them. And they'll surely continue to do that with baby number two.
