Lin-Manuel Miranda has conquered Broadway with Hamilton and the big screen with his music in Disney's animated feature film Moana. Lin-Manuel Miranda performed "How Far I'll Go" from Moana at the 2017 Oscars on Sunday night and it was gorgeous . With Moana, Miranda took his Broadway talents to the big screen and his performance at the Academy Awards showed that he is seriously awesome on all kinds of stages.

Miranda opened the performance with one of his trademark rhymes in order to "set the scene," bringing a bit of Hamilton magic to the Oscars. After that epic intro, Moana singer Auli'i Cravalho took to the stage in a gorgeous red gown and belted the tune along with orchestral accompaniment and dancers with flags twirling behind her.

Miranda is nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song for "How Far I'll Go," a lovely tune from Moana about that feels like it'll sweep you along the sea with its melody. As a winner of Tonys, Grammys, and an Emmy, a Oscar win could give Miranda the coveted EGOT — and he would be the youngest to do so at 37 years old.

Whether or not Miranda takes home gold, his performance surely won the hearts of the many viewers watching the Oscars.
