For anyone in need of a dose of pure happiness, I have you covered. For the past three days, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Sarah Michelle Gellar have engaged in a gif war on Twitter. That alone would be awesome, but their war of gifs is basically about who admires who more. The Hamilton writer and the slayer just can't stop showering each other with love via gifs, and it is the most beautiful thing to happen since Miranda couldn't stop geeking out over Gilmore Girls.

The 20th anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is what kicked off the exchange. According to The Huffington Post, Miranda's Buffy love has been well-documented. As far back as 2013, he was tweeting about his devotion to the series, and just like the rest of the world, Miranda was hit by a major case of nostalgia when Entertainment Weekly released its gorgeous reunion photos reuniting Buffy with her Scooby Gang.

Let the world remember, it was Miranda who didn't throw away his shot at having the lovliest gif exchange the internet has ever witnessed. When Gellar shared her solo cover of EW with the caption, "The Chosen One," Miranda did what any true fan would do. He deployed a well-timed Willow gif to express his feelings.

From there, they were off. Gellar returned Miranda's Willow gif with a Buffy gif that asked, "Miss me?"

And he did, because while he may be one of the most talented people on the planet, even Miranda is not immune to spazzing out over talking to Buffy.

When he tried to apologize for his enthusiasm, Gellar wasn't having it, because you never have to say sorry for adoring someone's work.

Once he was given the green light to go all in on his extensive Buffy feels, Miranda had no choice but to break out a Spike gif. Hey, when you need to express true devotion, Spike will always be the vampire you turn to.

Then this happened:

And Miranda got adorably sheepish again, and broke out one of his most charming gifs.

After that, the duo's conversation dissolved into a series of gifs about their beautiful Twitter friendship. Fair warning, you are about to be emotionally compromised.

To which Miranda replied,

Finally, Gellar wrapped up the three greatest days of your life with,

This definitely makes Miranda an honorary member of the Scooby Gang, right? Because at this point even Spike and Angel can't rival his love for Buffy.
