Ice ice, wait, what, baby? Apparently, Milo Ventimiglia and Vanilla Ice are friends. Yes, you read that correctly. On Twitter Wednesday, the This Is Us star promoted the '90s rapper's house renovation show, The Vanilla Ice Project, airing on the DIY Network and entering its seventh season. Their friendship might be confusing you just as much as the fact that Vanilla Ice, aka Robert Van Winkle, has his own show about flipping homes. Overall, it's a strange situation.

After the now 49-year-old former rapper tweeted about the new season, Ventimiglia responded, "Can't wait to watch brother! Hey all. My friend Rob has a new season of #VanillaIceProject, check it out. MV" Ventimiglia is a busy guy, so him taking the time to support Vanilla Ice on Twitter speaks volumes.

Be sure to take note that the Gilmore Girls actor didn't call him by his rapper name, but referred to Vanilla Ice as "Rob," which just goes to show you how close they are. It seems that the 40-year-old is on a first name basis with Vanilla Ice. Furthermore, Ventimiglia dubbed him "my friend," so, how much clearer can he be?

It's definitely weird to think about, because they don't really seem like they would be friends. However, after some research, it kind of makes sense. Who remembers that awful-looking 2012 Adam Sandler movie, That's My Boy? Not only did it feature Andy Samberg and Leighton Meester, but also Ventimiglia and, you guessed it, Vanilla Ice, who played himself. Seeing as they were once co-stars, there's a chance this is how they met and formed a bond. That said, it's all still a bit odd.

Here's hoping they eventually open up about how close of friends they are, if or how often they hang out, and if they also throw down raps together every now and again. Come on, you know you're dying to know.
