Alert the presses, sound the alarms, ring any bells you can find because the world officially has the answer to the question we've all been pondering for awhile now. Finally, there's confirmation that Selena Gomez and The Weeknd are officially together, as Gomez posted an adorable Instagram on Saturday featuring the duo. It's not like we weren't all pretty sure the two were together after they were spotted hanging out over the past few months, But it's nice to have some official photographic confirmation from Gomez's account, isn't it?

In the photo the "It Ain't Me" singer shared on her Instagram, she and her newly confirmed boyfriend partake in the art of the adorable couple selfie. The two take up most of the photo with a bunch of tall trees in the background, and it appears they're at Coachella, rocking some on-point shades. The Weeknd has his arm wrapped around his lady love, and the photo is a truly adorable snap of a couple that tends to keep things pretty private and low-key.

This isn't the first time Gomez has posted content to Instagram that would hint at a relationship with the singer otherwise known as Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, but this is the first one she's kept public. In January, E! reported that Gomez shared a video of The Weeknd looking stoic in a gondola in Venice, Italy with a heart-eye emoji caption, but soon after, the clip was deleted from her account. Of course, that didn't stop 'shippers of the then-hypothetical couple from being convinced something romantic was going on.

Later, The Weeknd shared an image of the two looking very much together at the beginning of April, but Gomez herself never re-posted or shared a new image of them — until now.

This is the first time that Gomez has felt comfortable enough to share an image of her and her guy and keep it posted on her account. Her privacy is understandable; in a March interview with Vogue, she refused to dish on her relationship, suggesting that she wouldn't be as open with future relationships as she was in the past — i.e a reference to her highly publicized on-and-off- again romance with Justin Bieber. So the fact that she's now sharing this romantic image on her 'gram must mean she and The Weeknd are going so strong that she's ready to be open about their relationship.

Now that the couple is totally public, I personally wouldn't say no to more cute photos of the duo posted on social media. There's nothing like photos of two people clearly happy together to give the rest of us faith in the power of love.
