Storybook's Wizardry & Witchcraft Swatches Slay

The other day, I mentioned that Storybook Cosmetics would be establishing itself as a player in 2017, thanks to the sneak peek the literature-inspired brand shared of its Wizardy & Witchcraft Palette. The brand's makeup brushes, like the archery-inspired Bullseye Brush Set, are weapon-like tools of the beauty trade, mixing function with sheer artistry and a unique source of inspo. It's a collision of beauty and brains.

In the Instagram teaser pic revealing the W&W palette, we observed the eyeshadow shades the brand was working on for its palette. Now, Storybook Cosmetics has shared swatches from the Wizardry & Witchcraft Palette — all 12 shadows have been swatched with a fluffy brush, per the brand's Insta post.

The shadows were also combined with Mehron Mixing Liquid in some other Insta snaps, as well, which shows a different depth and versatility.

The swatches indicate that the shadows are jewel-toned, pigment-packed, and shimmery, as well as matte. They were only swatched against a light skintone so far. But you can still appreciate the color story that this palette seems to be telling.

There is a sapphire blue, a garnet red, a gilded gold, and much more.

Let's go under the hood oft his much-anticipated palette and see what Storybook Cosmetics is cooking up with the Wizardry & Witchcraft Palette.

Look at those spots! They are so colorful and the pigment is so rich. I cannot wait to swipe these on my lids.

This is the caption attached to the Insta post of the swatches, confirming that there will be 12 pans of shadow in the W&W Palette.

More swatchery, since Storybook Cosmetics is about swatching and sorcery!

Peep this metallic goodness with three different application options — via finger, with a blending brush, and with a mixing liquid.

Blue beauty!

We know this shade is called Merlin and how it looks with different application techniques.

I have high hopes for this formula, too! I cannot wait to test it.

Bring it, Storybook Cosmetics.
