Tarte Kiss And Makeup Campaign Will Have You Grabbing Your Lipstick For A Good Cause
Combining their love for makeup and a positive message, Tarte's Kiss And Makeup Campaign is spreading awareness of cyber bullying through lipstick. The company is teaming up with the Tyler Clementi Foundation to counter bullying and give meaningful compliments all at the same time. If that isn't already enough for you to get involved, there are some major makeup perks as well.
Here's how the campaign works: All you have to do is kiss the back of your hand after applying a fresh coat of lipstick, place your hand over your mouth, and post your selfie to Instagram with a positive message to a friend. For every post with the hashtag #kissandmakeup that tags Tarte and Tyler Clementi Foundation, the makeup brand will donate to the foundation. The exact amount of Tarte's donation isn't disclosed by the brand.
In addition, one lucky person who joins in on the cause will get free Tarte makeup for life. Yes, you read that right. Although they fail to mention that exciting detail in their Instagram post, the press release states that one lucky winner's makeup dream will come true.
It's worth it to note that, of course, one kiss mark will not end cyber bullying, but it is a way to spread awareness, positivity, and give back at the same time.
With so many diss tracks, celebrity feuds, and just plain mean comments out there, this campaign is a refresher that everyone needs.
This isn't the first time that the brand has rolled out their #KissAndMakeup message. Tarte has had mini campaigns for the cause throughout the year, and celebrities, YouTubers, and other makeup lovers have joined in. This is the first time that they've offered such a big giveaway to go along with the campaign, though.
No matter what color or brand your favorite lipstick is, you can use it to spread the message. If nothing else, this is a great way to make someone's day with a positive message.
While you can spread awareness of cyberbullying any day, this giveaway is only going on for 24 hours. That means you only have until Aug. 25 at midnight ET to get your submissions in.
Stop what you're doing and go grab a lippie!
