Vanessa May Have Just Spoiled 'The Bachelor'

This is exactly the time during every season of The Bachelor where Bachelor Nation starts to salivate at the prospect of witnessing true love blossom in front of our very eyes. The final episodes always bring more drama and weight, because we're finally beginning to see the real winner materialize. Now that we have said goodbye to future Bachelorette Rachel this week, we know that either Vanessa or Raven are currently in possession of that Neil Lane diamond. Luckily, at least one of our finalist knows how to play chess because Vanessa went to a wedding dress shop in Montreal and sent fans into a tizzy in the process.

With one perfectly placed Instagram photo posted by the shop's creative coordinator Holly Wiancko, and with one very cheeky caption, Vanessa has led us all to believe that she is likely the winner of Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor. Why wouldn't we think that this means she was scoping our her future wedding duds? Why else would she be at Le Chateau bridal boutique in Montreal? The photograph was even perfectly set up in front of a rack of beautiful gowns, in both bridal and bridesmaid varieties. Surely, that must mean that she is announcing her upcoming nuptials, right?

Well, let's slow our roll here for a moment. Why on Earth would Vanessa put that photo up if she was actually the winner of The Bachelor? If she actually wins, then she just ruined the best part of the entire process. Fans don't slug through weeks of watching rose ceremonies, crying, and ridiculous dates to just have the winner ruin the whole thing before the end. We sit through that 45 hour finale just to see the big finish.

If anything, I think Vanessa just let us know that Raven is the winner. Especially considering the fact that La Chateau also sells regular clothing and doesn't only specialize in wedding dresses. Vanessa might just be winding us up to add to the tension.

Of course, there's also the distinct possibility that this could all be a red herring and ruin our ability to decipher any information from it at all. Either way, I don't think we should read into this completely. I think we, as fans, should just wait for that anticipated proposal and connect the dots later.
