Madewell's Latest Collab Helps Protect The Oceans & Beaches

by Jessica Thomas

There's nothing that makes you feel better about retail therapy than shopping for a good cause, and Madewell fans are going to flip over the Madewell x Surfrider collaboration. Everyone's favorite casual clothing company teamed up with the Surfrider Foundation on a five-piece capsule collection, and the pieces are must-haves for your summer wardrobe. But the best part? Purchasing one helps support the Surfrider Foundation, which is dedicated to cleaning up beaches and oceans.

The capsule collection includes five pieces: two T-shirts with Surfrider's rallying call, "Long Live the Beach," a tote with the same message and two chic pairs of sunglasses. The pieces will be available in Madewell stores and on the Madewell website.

As someone who loves the ocean (and Madewell's casual-but-chic aesthetic), I'm a huge fan of what they're doing to support Surfrider. Not only is the brand donating a portion of the proceeds from the collection to the foundation, but Madewell teams on the east and west coasts also took a day to help clean up beaches in their towns (and if you're from New York, you know this is no small feat).

The best part about the collab though? The pieces are seriously chic, and you're going to be inspired to add one (or a few) to your summer wardrobe.

How adorable is this "Long Live the Beach" tee?

If you're partial to blue, I like the print on this one as well.

I'm always in need of a new pair of sunglasses, and the two pairs in the capsule collection are the perfect addition to my collection. How great is this shade of green?

Finally, these tortoiseshell glasses are so chic, and I can see myself rocking them all summer long.

Considering how cute all these items are, I can't wait to shop them (and do good at the same time).
