I’ve always been a believer that art can speak words in creative ways that sometimes we mere humans don’t know how to express. So when it comes to finding beautiful things to say to your dad on Father’s Day, I like to turn to art — and this time, I’m turning to some of my favorite flicks.
There are a ton of movies out there that truly depict fatherhood, making you feel all the feels towards the person that has been a symbol of hope amidst this dark, dreary, confusing world. I look at classic movies with Robin Williams, Steve Martin, and Dennis Quaid as iconic father figures and my heart can’t help but melt thinking about all of the ways that my father truly made a difference in my life. Movies, or just stories, can help us understand emotions (or even relationships) in ways we never thought before. Which is why I think pulling out some movie quotes can help us put together words of love and affirmation towards our fathers this Father’s Day.
So if you’re looking for something sweet to say to your dad, or maybe just looking for a good movie to watch with your dad this Father’s Day, these quotes can certainly guide you in that.
