This Tweet Is The ‘Game Of Thrones’ & ‘Gossip Girl’ Mash-Up That You Need To See

Anyone who's been watching Game Of Thrones knows that being the three-eyed raven has made Bran hard to talk to, since he now knows everything that's going on. That's why New Statesman Culture Writer Anna Leszkiewicz made the Game of Thrones and Gossip Girl connection that you won't be able to un-see. According to her clever joke that's already been favorited over 1,000 times, The Three-Eyed Raven would make a great show — and probably a much angstier version of Game Of Thrones. Seriously, Chuck Bass would be proud.

To set up this Gossip Girl/Game Of Thrones mashup, Leszkiewicz wrote up a few lines that would sound perfect coming out of Kristen Bell's mouth: "Spotted: Rhaegar & Lyanna's private nuptials. Maybe bastard boy isn't so bastard after all. & who am I? thats 1 secret I'll never tell. xoxo." (The title image of the show's title, "three-eyed raven," in the Gossip Girl font is certainly a nice touch.)

Like gossip girl, Bran sees it all, so it's no surprise that it was him who figured out that Jon Snow is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. It's not until the Season 7 finale, though, that Bran realizes Jon Snow isn't really a bastard after all, but the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Before then, he'd believed that Lyanna had been kidnapped and forced to be with Rhaegar, which is why her brother Ned Stark comes to rescue her at the Tower Of Joy. But thanks to Samwell Tarly (and, more importantly, Gilly), the Three-Eyed Raven now knows that Rhaegar's marriage had been annulled so that he could legally marry Lyanna.

Of course, I wish Bran had been able to tell Jon Snow before he slept with his aunt Daenerys. But whatever.

Bran also figures out that Jon Snow's real name is actually Aegon Targaryen, which could lead to the later revelation that he's actually Azor Ahai. Of course, the Three-Eyed Raven can't just tell us that yet. He's got to have a few secrets up those sleeves of his, just like Dan Humphrey himself — who had us all fooled for six seasons. Or something.

Leszkiewicz wasn't the only one, though, who thought Bran was a bit of a gossip girl. "Bran is basically Gossip Girl now xoxo," one person tweeted. Another wrote, "omg bran what a way to be a gossip girl." Someone else joked, "Game of Thrones Spoiler: Dan is Gossip Girl."

The funny part is that this isn't the first time Game Of Thrones has been compared to Gossip Girl. One fan named Achala Upendran even wrote an entire blog post dedicated to sorting Gossip Girl characters into Game Of Thrones houses. The very blonde Serena Van der Woodsen would be sitting alongside the Khaleesi in House Targaryen, of course, while Chuck Bass would be part of House Lannister. Who else in the Upper East Side could rival Cersei's expert plotting?

No surprise, Dan Humphrey was placed in House Stark, just another sign that he's the Three-Eyed Raven. Whether you agree or not, you know you love it. xoxo.
