What Is Andi Dorfman Doing Now? The Former 'Bachelorette' Is Putting Reality TV Drama Behind Her
Now that he's starring in his very own individual season of The Bachelor, it's time to take a walk down memory lane and reminisce about Nick Viall's first time on television, when he fell in love with Andi Dorfman on The Bachelorette. She may have walked away from the season without Nick and with a man she believed was going to be her one true love, but she ultimately broke up with baseball player Josh Murray last year. We know what Nick's up to, and we even know what Josh is doing after watching him on Bachelor in Paradise, but what's Andi Dorfman been up to lately? Well, over the past couple of years, she went from lovestruck TV show star to a woman who hasn't let being single or the end of her widely publicized TV relationship slow her down.
She wrote a book, It's Not Okay, which came out in May 2016 and covered her time competing for Juan Pablo's heart on The Bachelor, her time on The Bachelorette, and the breakdown of her relationship with Josh. After Josh questioned the accuracy of the content in her book while on Bachelor in Paradise, Andi tweeted what some interpreted as a post standing behind her words — despite his denials.
I speak two languages ... English and Truth.— Andi Dorfman (@AndiDorfman) August 9, 2016
But even more recently, Andi has been staying above the fray. When rumors hit that Amanda and Josh seemingly broke up, Andi didn't comment on the situation. Instead, she's been focusing on herself. According to Page Six, she's been eyeing a return to the legal profession after she took a break post-Bach from the courtroom. She told Page Six, "I’m not oblivious to the fact that this stuff only lasts for so long, that’s just life in general. My law degree, people say, 'Oh, why don’t you go back into law,' and I probably will eventually."
Back when she was practicing law, she lived in Georgia, but post-TV appearances, she moved to New York City. Andi didn't add whether or not she'd be interested in resuming her life down South or stay in her new, adopted city. She certainly still seems to love living in New York, but, who knows? She just spent the last couple of weeks traveling, and loved it.
And, when it comes to her former flames, Andi may actually be forming a new friendship with Nick Viall. The current Bachelor claimed to Entertainment Tonight that Andi actually reached out to him via text message before he began filming his season. He credited Andi completely with initiating the message, adding, "I didn't reach out to them at all. Andi did reach out [...] to wish me luck, and it was a very gracious text, but certainly no advice was given, and certainly no advice was asked."
But, it seems that after a summer filled with spilling secrets and renewed feuding with one ex, Andi is taking things in a more positive direction in 2017. Wishing Nick well, staying silent on Josh's rumored breakup, and thinking about rejoining the law field all suggest that Andi is doing well and moving on from the drama in her past.
