It's not a major holiday unless Kylie Jenner releases a new line of products, so the Kylie Cosmetics Valentine's Day collection was pretty much inevitable. But what I didn't expect was how amazing it would be and how many new products Jenner would be releasing in honor of the holiday that's all about celebrating love — and all things pink and red of course.
Considering those two colors go hand and hand with Valentine's Day, I wasn't surprised by the red glitter packaging that the collection comes packaged in. So what exactly does this packaging hold? It's brand new products, new lip kit shades, more of everyone's favorite mini mattes and a brand new palette including Jenner's first blushes. I'm serious — this collection is major.
First of all, mini mattes are back in their usual format — six mini lip kits in existing and new shades. Then there's two new lip kits — a mauve color called Head Over Heels and a bright fuschia called Valentine. As if that weren't enough, Jenner also came out with a new palette called Kylie's Diary, which has her first ever blushes. And finally there's three mini sets that each contain two lip shades and two eye shadow shades. Phew. That's a lot of Kylie.
You have to see this to believe it — here are pics of all the new products.
Here are the mini mattes, which contain three existing shades (Maliboo, Posie K and Mary Jo), and three new shades, one called Apricot, a mauve-y pink called Head Over Heels and a true pink called High Maintenance.
Here are two of the new shades, Apricot and High Maintenance.
There's also two new lip kits: Valentine and Head Over Heels (which is also in the mini mattes collection).
Then the product I have a feeling people are going to flip over — Kylie's Diary. It's a book-shaped palette with nine eyeshadows and two blushes. The blush shades are called First Date and Virginity, and they're Jenner's first foray into blush.
The eyeshadow shades are a mix of glitters and mattes, and there's tons of bright pinks and oranges to make your Valentine's Day super festive.
Finally, the product I'm most excited about — the mini sets. The three sets, Kiss Me, Smooch and Sweetheart, will each have two lip products and two shadows. Kiss Me has Dirty Peach and the Poppin gloss along with the Sweet Thing and Main Squeeze shadows.
The Smooch set has the Gorg lip kit and Damn Gina gloss along with the Poison Berry and In Love shadows. The Sweetheart set has the Dolce K lip kit, Literally gloss and Baby and Love Letter shadows.
It's kind of crazy just how much this collection contains, and I'm still trying to figure out what's what so that I can decide exactly what I'll be purchasing. But I can tell you one thing — if you're interested, get to the Kylie Cosmetics website at 3 p.m. PT on Feb. 2. It's going to sell out fast.
