There are 17 styles in the Karlie Kloss x Express collabo, but there are hundreds of ways to wear the pieces. That's not uncommon, as lots of celebs co-design wearable clothes for mass market retail brands. On the Express site, Kloss states that she is grateful for the opp to "design clothes for real women who strive to reach higher and dare to do more." But that's hardly lip service. The runway show for the pieces is going to be super inspiring.
As noted on the Express site, there will be 10 unique women walking the runway show on Thursday, Mar. 30 at 8 p.m. ET. Among them are a computer engineer, a STEM student, a military service member, a blogger who battled and survived cancer, a singer/songwriter, and an aspiring model. There are fashion bloggers from different cultural backgrounds, a photographer, and a book club founder, as well.
That sounds like a clutch of super inspiring and awesome women.
I cannot wait to see the Kloss-designed clothes. But the fact that she mined a variety of sources for the runway show is way more rad, IMO.
