A Glow-In-The-Dark Highlighter Exists & You Need To See It In Action

by Alexa Tucker

If you feel like "regular" highlighter just doesn't light you up like it used to (literally and figuratively), one makeup tutorial guru on YouTube just found an eerily amazing way to step up your game: glow-in-the-dark highlighter. And the stuff is just as awesome/spooky/mind-blowing as it sounds.

YouTuber Tati Westbrook tried out Art Cosmetics Electric Daisy and PopLuxe Night Life just for kicks, and under a blacklight, the results look like you've rubbed a glow stick on your cheekbones (but don't really do that, because that's some toxic ish in there).

The Art Cosmetics product is a liquid highlighter, and Westbrook was surprised at how pretty the shimmery, milky white formula looked on (although her only gripe was the oily texture). PopLuxe Night Life, on the other hand, is a mint green powder formula (that actually looks super pretty on, even if you're not convinced about the light green hue).

While they didn't glow in a dark-ish restaurant or even a dark room at home, once Westbrook really loaded up on the powder "charged" it with the blacklight flashlight before hitting the lights, the highlighter went full Green Lantern. So if you're looking for a next-level beauty look for your next festival and/or halloween, these might be the way to go.

Here's what the Art Cosmetics Electric Daisy looked like in the light.
