Who's Returning For 'Dance Moms' Season 7B? The Future Of The Show Is Uncertain
The cast of Dance Moms puts a great deal of their focus on balance and grace, but that may not be enough to stop the show from falling over. Season 8 of Dance Moms has yet to be confirmed, but at least Season 7B will bring the show back to your TV screens. While Lifetime has yet to confirm a date of return, rumors and speculation about who will be returning for Season 7B of Dance Moms have been flying around faster than a flurry of dancers doing grand jetés across the stage.
The final episode of Season 7A of the long-running reality show airs on Tuesday, Feb. 21. Then, on Feb. 24, Abby Lee Miller has her court date to determine her sentencing after she plead guilty to fraud, according to People. While Miller wouldn't be the first television personality with legal issues who managed to bounce back afterwards, a potential absence of the ALDC's owner (if she's sentenced to jail time, though People reported that her lawyers asked the judge for probation) would mark a big shift for Dance Moms. (Bustle reached out to Lifetime for comment on how Miller's upcoming sentencing could impact the show, but has not yet received a reply.)
While Miller's future involvement in the series is uncertain, there have been rumors circulating that some former Dance Moms contestants will still be around for 7B and beyond should the show be given an eighth season. Here are some potential returnees that could keep Dance Moms on its feet no matter what happens with Miller.
While this tweet from a fan account featuring images of Kalani Hilliker allegedly shooting for a new season isn't necessarily proof of her return, it's extremely telling that fellow Dance Moms star Kendall Vertes retweeted the images. Is Kendall telling us that Season 7B is shooting right now and that Kalani is a part of it?
Kendall Vertes, Brynn Rumfallo, Nia Soux
A few days before Kendall retweeted the Kalani pictures, she sent out a photo of her spending time with fellow Dance Moms dancers Brynn Rumfallo and Nia Soux saying that they were missing Kalani. Could Kalani not be in this picture because she's filming and these three aren't? OR was Kalani just not able to be there and all four of them are coming back for Season 7B?
Chloe Lukasiak is returning to Dance Moms for the Season 7 finale after having left in Season 4. In her post-Dance Moms life, Chloe Lukasiak has made a career for herself as a dancer, a Youtuber, and actress. With Miller's future on the show up in the air and Dance Moms needing a recognizable face, could Lukasiak's return in Season 7 mean that she'll be prominently featured in an Abby Lee-less Dance Moms? She could be just the person they need to keep the show going if it loses its most-recognizable personality.
The future of Dance Moms is uncertain and dependent on Miller's upcoming sentencing, but it looks like the dancers that trained with Miller are sticking around for 7B at least. Beyond that, who knows?
