Twitter Has SO Many Questions About Tyler G.'s Confusing 'Bachelorette' Exit

by Nicole Pomarico

We're only three weeks into Hannah B.'s season of The Bachelorette, and there's already some weird drama concerning one of her contestants (OK, more than one, but one in particular as it pertains to this incident). On Monday night's episode, Tyler G. left the show before he even had a chance to try his odds at the next rose ceremony. His departure was very sudden and vague, leaving Twitter super confused about why Tyler G. went home on The Bachelorette.

How it all happened was kind of a blur, so if you blinked, you might have missed it. Somewhere between Hannah's one-on-one date with Connor S. and the group date that followed, Tyler left — and it wasn't immediately clear if he was sent home by producers or if he chose to leave himself. Either way, it didn't seem like he had the chance to say goodbye to Hannah, and if she knew the reason he had to go, she didn't share it.

"I found out Tyler G. had to leave, and that's upsetting because I really enjoyed my date with him and felt like our relationship was at a really good place and I wanted to explore where that could go," Hannah said.

After that, the subject was dropped and there was no further explanation. The show jumped right into the next date, and needless to say, that left a lot of people wondering exactly what had just happened. Fans took to Twitter to share their confusion, and there was a lot of it. In fact, some could have sworn they just missed a bigger scene, but nope — there was no bigger scene.

Others pointed out that they were still confused about which contestant was which this early on, so this was even more hard to understand.

And other fans were straight up disappointed that they were robbed of the (probably really dramatic) footage of Tyler leaving.

Like Hannah said on the show, it really had been an eventful week — not only did she have to go to the hospital, but one of her men mysteriously disappeared. Anyone would have a hard time coping with one of those developments, let alone two of them.

Tyler is hardly the first contestant to leave the show outside of a rose ceremony. On both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, fans have seen it happen for so many reasons. But usually, the reason for leaving is clear (and usually includes a lot of drama). It's hard not to speculate about what it means that his departure was so glossed over, but for now, it's a mystery.

We may never find out the truth behind why Tyler left the show, but The Bachelorette is going on without him, and Hannah seems happy to continue her journey. It's a bummer that someone had to leave so early on in the season, but Hannah has plenty of other men who are excited to spend more time with her.
