Before You Ask For A Prince Harry 'Suits' Cameo, Maybe He Should Meet The Cast First
The romance between American actress Meghan Markle and Prince Harry caused a lot of buzz in England and America alike, but some of that noise has died down in the months since the romance first began. But, now that Markle's show is coming back for another season, will Prince Harry be on Suits? There would be nothing like a royal cameo to make a show's ratings soar.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there's any such thing planned for this season. But the genesis of the buzz around a member of the English royal family potentially joining the cast of a TNT procedural for a season because he's smitten with one of the stars seems to originate from one interview Suits actor Patrick J. Adams gave to Entertainment Tonight. "I'll work on it," Adams said when asked if the prince would appear. "I'm sure it's super easy and uncomplicated."
Now, to me that sounds like Adams was being clearly ironic — I don't think he was seriously suggesting that Prince Harry will be appearing on the show. According to Adams, Prince Harry hasn't even visited the Suits set yet, and he doesn't think the royal is missing much. "The set is like a workplace. Who would want to come to a workplace? Everyone thinks that TV sets are cool, but they're not that cool."
However, according to The Express' anonymous source from the show, Harry may allegedly visit Suits soon. The source claimed to The Express that Markle is planning on "introducing [the cast] to Harry during an unofficial visit where everyone can relax and he can get to know her friends." The current (sixth) season of Suits reportedly finished filming already, but Season 7 is filming now, and the 2017 Invictus Games, an event Prince Harry founded in 2014, will be in Toronto, the same place Suits is filmed.
It certainly seems like there's still a long way to go from potentially setting up an off-the-record visit to having Prince Harry make an appearance in an episode of Suits, but if any photos surface of the man fifth in line for the British throne grabbing a few beers with Harvey Spector and Mike Ross, then it's always possible they'll be able to convince him to get in front of the camera for 2018.
