The 'Stranger Things' Kids Should Be At The Globes

My apologies to Jacob Tremblay and Quvenzhané Wallis; while they may both have received major nominations, a new group of cute kids is taking over awards season in 2016 and 2017. Will the Stranger Things kids be at the Golden Globes? They were a hit at the Emmy Awards, passing out sandwiches as well as singing and dancing to Pharrell for reasons I do not understand but wouldn't dare to question. Surely they will be part of the Globes, a notably goofier ceremony.

The five children — Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, and Millie Bobby Brown — have not said anything specifically about the Globes on social media at this time. They are also not included in the list of current 2017 Golden Globe presenters. However, I still think it's a safe bet. Stranger Things is nominated for Best Drama Series, and typically the casts of those nominees are invited to the ceremony so that they can all rush the stage together if they win.

A few weeks ago, the boys reunited at the Critics Choice Awards, and gathered to watch the Golden Globe nominations together. Personally, I think a Demogorgon would have to drag that cast away from the chance to hang out with each other at a fancy event, but we'll see.

This year's ceremony is also hosted by Jimmy Fallon, a known Stranger Things fan who has had the kids on The Tonight Show (with the exception of Schnapp) before. They might not be as involved as they were with the Emmys, but I wouldn't be surprised if he included them in the ceremony somehow. You know at the very least, there are going to be Barb jokes at the Golden Globes this year.

All five kids might not show up to the Golden Globes. There could be scheduling issues that prevent one of them from attending. While the young cast of Stranger Things do a lot together, it's rarely all five at once. However, no need to worry about the Golden Globes. I think we'll almost definitely get some representation from the Hawkins Middle School A/V Club no matter what.
