Steven Rowe is a commerce writer for Bustle Digital Group's lifestyle brands (specifically Bustle, Mic, and Inverse). He has previously worked as a writer and editor for Psych Central and his byline has also appeared on Healthline, Spruce Pets, VeryWellFamily, Greatist, and RetailMeNot.

Before becoming a writer, he worked for many years in continuing education for a university in Manhattan and worked backstage on countless theatrical productions across New York City.

He received his master’s degree in theater stage management at Columbia University’s School of the Arts and received two bachelor’s degrees from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California in Theater and Psychology.

In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time racing toy cars with his two-year old son on the floor in the living room. He’s also dad to a nervous rescue beagle and lives in New York state.
