6 Predictions For Season 7 Of 'RHONJ'

by Marenah Dobin

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is definitely the realest series in the Bravo Housewives franchise. Sure, these ladies are part of the upper middle class and are just as into self-promotion as the other Real Housewives, but, in a way, they really are more down-to-earth. I know it sounds crazy, but they are not mingling with celebrities or, for the most part, living in mansions. Plus, these are women with years of history between them, and many of them are even related. These connections are genuine and extremely captivating, so I, for one, can't wait for RHONJ Season 7 to premiere. The only thing is, a lot of the major details for the upcoming season are pretty unclear.

Teresa Giudice is currently serving a prison sentence. The show hasn't started filming yet. The cast hasn't been confirmed. And there are rumors that Danielle Staub might come back. What the hell is going on? I have a lot of questions, but no actual answers. At this point all I can do is speculate and wait for some information to surface. These are my predictions for the next season of Real Housewives of New Jersey, based on my years of loyal viewership.

1. Teresa & Melissa Will Be On The Same Side

When we first met Melissa Gorga on the show, she was public enemy number one for anyone who was #TeamTeresa. To say that these two have "been through a lot" is a major understatement. But now, it really seems like Teresa's legal troubles have brought these two together. I'm not saying that they are going to be best friends, but there is a love and loyalty there that wasn't present before. We got a little taste of these two hanging out during Season 6, and I would love to see their relationship grow.

2. There Will Be Some New Cast Members

If I'm keeping it real, I have to admit that RHONJ has turned into the Teresa Giudice show. Minus some endearing scenes with Rosie Pierri, the Giudice family really runs the show and dominates the story lines. We definitely need some new ladies in the mix. There have been rumors of Tiki Barber's wife Traci Lynn Johnson and my beloved Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi joining the cast. Adding more fuel to the fire is Melissa Gorga's latest Instagram post with both of these women. Could this be some foreshadowing?

3. Danielle Will Rejoin The Cast

This is something that has been circulating around for years. Then at this year's reunion, Teresa and Dina said that they thought it would be a great move for Danielle to return, so this really set the rumors into overdrive. Plus, Danielle herself has been hinting at having an interest on her social media accounts.

4. Some Cast Members Will Be Downgraded

Like I said before, the only real story line from this past season was Teresa's legal drama. These new girls just didn't really cut it in my opinion. I spent the first few episodes trying to tell the twins apart and remember which one I liked more. All they did was talk trash the other cast members and get into a season long fight about a nasty rumor regarding Rino Aprea having sex with his wife, Teresa Aprea, and her twin sister Nicole Napolitano's mother. It was the fight that never ended and it just took the steam out of the initial accusation.

And Amber Marchese was just OK. Her rude husband, Jim, was more interesting to watch. These girls had their moments, don't get me wrong, but there was nothing iconic happening. I have a feeling they will get the boot or be downgraded to a "friend of the Housewives." I also find it tough to see Dina Manzo stepping back in her role as a series regular. Dina will probably choose to be secondary cast member. I love her, but she just doesn't seem super into sharing her personal life on the show. I can imagine her coming on once in a while to go to lunch with Teresa.

5. Rosie & Milania Will Steal The Spotlight

This can be said for every season. Teresa Giudice's daughter Milania is the most hilarious member of the cast. Her lines are easily the most quotable and there are even popular parody accounts on social media in her honor. At this point she has her own fan base. The same can be said for Rosie Pierri. She is Teresa Giudice's cousin in addition to being related to Melissa Gorga through marriage. She brings some light hearted humor to a show full of screaming and drama, but she's also not afraid to speak her mind. I would be extremely shocked if these two were not heavily featured in the next season.

6. Teresa Will Have A More Humble Attitude

My one-sided relationship with Teresa Giudice is very up and down, but I will always be a fan at heart. I think that Teresa will share a different side of herself during Season 7. She's not going to be all about promoting her empire or shopping with the girls. I think she's going to show us that she has learned some lessons and will shift her focus to more important matters.

It's tough to predict what's going to happen in the next season when they haven't even started filming yet, but I've been watching and obsessing about Real Housewives of New Jersey from the beginning, so I feel like a lot of my insight is on point. I can't wait to see what actually ends up happening!
