What Does Hercules Look Like In Real Life?

by Mary Grace Garis

We often talk about the daunting breaks between Disney movies and real life, about how adulthood hazes the idyllic facade of stunningly gorgeous princesses and talking animals alike. Covert dirty jokes in Disney movies and a crushing thing called "realism" tends to taint that perfect picture. But, if you really want to have your childhood ruined, all you have to do is take a gander at the voice actors behind those gorgeous princesses and talking animals. After all, have you ever actually wondered what the Disney characters voice actors look like?

I mean, OK, every once in a while you'll glimpse vintage pictures of the actresses behind Disney princesses, and it's just Internet perfection. But, other times, you forget that your favorite Disney renaissance films are voiced by a slew of famous (or, um, quasi-famous) real life actors. Hell, I still forget Kristen Bell voiced Princess Anna from Frozen, and that movie came out like five minutes ago. In any case, I did the digging, and took a stern look at some of the Disney protagonists of the last 15 or so years, and unearthed some of hidden gems.

So brace yourself, kids, and check out this quick rundown of some of the famous forgotten faces behind the Disney characters. Rest assured, this cannot be unseen.

Oh, and that's her posing with Jack Skellington's singing voice (and the movie's composer, and former Oingo Boingo frontman) Danny Elfman. Um, on her right, I'm pretty sure most of you can pinpoint which one is Tim Burton.

Well, that's something I would've never guessed on my own. (Although, I haven't really spent many sleepless nights pondering, "Who voiced Miss Spider?)
