Celebrate National Dog Day With These Pieces

Did you know that it's National Dog Day today (Insert dog days of summer joke here)? There are lots of ways to celebrate, like reading up on hero dogs throughout history and admiring the Internet's most fashionable dogs, but personally? I plan on posting an embarrassing number of pictures of my dog on Instagram, and maybe treating her to one of those giant soup bones, if I can make it over to the butcher counter later today. She deserves a treat, especially after getting terrified during Khloe Kardashian's midnight fireworks bonanza last night.

All in all, I'm a pretty massive dog fan — and as such, I love incorporating them into my personal style whenever possible. Not in a Cruella de Vil way, of course — I'm more a fan of the whimsical intarsia sweater, or artsy screen-printed T-shirt variety. I also have a tote that bears the message, "Be the person your dog thinks you are," and it never fails to get approving nods.
