Get Emma Watson's Slit Skirt Look For Fall

by Julia Guerra

Hermione Granger's persona must have rubbed off on the Harry Potter actress, as she has certainly has charmed fans over the years with her versatile roles, inspirational girl-power speeches, and impeccable fashion sense. Emma Watson wore a suede Ralph Lauren skirt and black button down Tuesday, embracing fall style a few weeks early to celebrate the first of many press days for her upcoming film Regression.

Normally, I am completely opposed to rushing seasons. There is still technically three and a half weeks left of summer friends, but lately I feel myself craving chunky knits and pumpkin everything. While I stand my ground and continue to bitterly browse social feeds decorated with transitional pieces like knee high boots and first-seasonal-latte-of-the-season documentation, I’ll forgive Watson’s autumn attire because it is just that good.

Years ago, wearing black on brown was considered fashion taboo, but "incorrect" color collabs are a thing of the past. Black is a neutral — it goes with everything, and Watson’s suede slit skirt and black button down combined give off an upscale rustic vibe. I love how versatile this outfit is. Throw on a pair of cowboy booties and you’re ready for brunch at the ranch.

I'll be soaking up the summer sun while I still can, but I guess there's no harm in a little fall style inspo to get ahead of the season. Find out how you can get Watson's split-skirt look this fall below.
