by Kelly Schremph

When I was younger, the mere mention of Labor Day used to fill me with a deep sense of dread since it meant the return to school was just around the corner. But now that I'm an adult, I've come to cherish this holiday in a way I never have before. Why? Because it gives me the one thing I treasure above all else: a three-day weekend. That's right, folks. Labor Day represents one of the few times each year when Mondays are not only tolerable, but actually downright enjoyable. And what better way is there to spend an extra day off than by watching copious amounts of TV until your heart's content? Thankfully, there are plenty of Labor Day TV marathons to choose from this year that's guaranteed to make your extra long weekend as extra relaxing as possible.

From iconic movies to beloved sitcoms and dramas, this year's Labor Day TV schedule has something for everybody's entertainment tastes. In fact, odds are you won't want to get up off your couch for the majority of the day. (If you thought lazy Sundays were fun, last Mondays are even better.) So grab some delicious snacks and your comfiest pjs and tune in to some of these amazing TV options:

The Real Housewives Of Orange County On Bravo

Sometimes you just need to take a day and watch some good old fashioned reality shows. And there's no better show to help fill that void than The Real Housewives of Orange County, which will air re-runs on Bravo from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. when a brand new episode will debut immediately afterward. So if you're looking for a day's worth of non-stop drama, then this is definitely the channel for you. Bring it on, ladies!

NCIS On USA

If reality shows aren't really your thing, then perhaps you'd prefer to dive headfirst into the naval crime-solving series centered around Agent Gibbs & Co. The head smacking starts at 6 a.m. and lasts until 8 p.m.

The Librarians On TNT

For those of you who are looking for a new series to obsess over, TNT is airing the entire first season of The Librarians starting at noon and running until 10 p.m. It's got action, adventure, and pretty much everything else you'd never expect to find inside of a library.

New Girl On MTV

When it comes to hilarious hijinks and a rip-roaring good time, no show does it better than these New Girl loftmates. Re-runs will air throughout the majority of the day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then pick up once more after a short break from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. It's the perfect way to remind yourself of why you fell in love with the show in the first place. So go ahead and tune in or face the consequences of the douchebag jar.

Empire On FX

If you have yet to watch FOX's latest breakout series, then consider this to be your homework assignment for the day. FX is generously airing the entire first season of Empire from noon until midnight, so you can soak up as much Cookie goodness as you can handle. Trust me when I say you need this in your life.

Legally Blonde & Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde On Pop

Those who have access to the Pop network should definitely consider marathoning these two Reese Witherspoon classics. Legally Blonde will kick things off from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde rounding out the rest of the afternoon from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. It's what Elle Woods would want.

Ricky Business On Reelz

Tom Cruise in tighty whities. Need I say more? (The film airs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.)

Wet Hot American Summer On IFC

Summer may be on its way out, but that doesn't mean you can't soak up a few more moments of fun over at Camp Firewood starting at 8 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. Plus, it'll give you a chance to marvel at how Paul Rudd refuses to age.

Bachelor In Paradise On ABC

And finally, round out your evening with the Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 finale, which kicks off at 9 p.m. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll wish everyday could be as glorious as Labor Day.
