A Look Back At Emma Roberts' First Emmy Look

She might be known for her laid-back attire and sassy on-screen personality now, but Emma Roberts' first Emmys look is super bold and bright. Before she was going unretouched for Aerie's Aerie Real campaign, Roberts was walking the red carpet with the rest of the American Horror Story cast in 2013. The 22-year-old looked completely professional for her first Emmys appearance in a look that would still be wearable today.

The actress wore a stunning bright red Stella McCartney gown. She kept it chic and effortless with the dress, which fit tightly on her figure and had a cutout back. She told E! Online that the outfit was a last-minute decision, but you'd certainly never guess that by looking at the photos.

Not only was this her first Emmys look, but it was also the first time she was pictured next to her now alleged ex-fiancé, Evan Peters. The Coven actress wore her hair down in loose curls with a middle part, a style similar to the look she still rocks today. She wore light makeup and a big smile for the event. The gorgeous silhouette and effortless look was only the beginning of Roberts' stunning red carpet style.

The bright red dress almost looked orange and went well with her bubbly personality. Her film strip clutch was the perfect quirky nod to Old Hollywood.

The cutout back of the dress turned a minimalist look into a something a little more young and trendy. This look could be worn at this year's Emmys and be just as fashionable.

Roberts kept it simple with loosely curled hair that added to the timeless feel of the dress. Although her hair is a few shades lighter now, the style isn't too far off from her everyday look.

As always, Roberts finished things off with fabulous accessories. Rocking a dainty star necklace and thick gold rings on every finger, the star managed to look sophisticated while still bringing in some of her trendy 20-something style.

Her makeup wasn't much different than many of the star's more recent looks either, with a nude pink lip, light blush, and bold lashes.
