Adriana Lima Walked Marc Jacobs & Killed It

by Shea Simmons

Hold the phone! The Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2016 runway show just happened at New York Fashion Week, and it was a doozy! Kendall Jenner stomped the cat walk and Beth Ditto looked totally gorgeous under the light. But veteran Adriana Lima walked Marc Jacobs, too, and reminded everyone why she's one of the industry's most incredible and sought after talents.

This isn't the first time that Lima has partnered with the uber talented designer. She and Jacobs have been working together for years with the former Victoria's Secret model in past shows, and most recently, she's the face of Jacob's latest fragrance campaign. Basically Jacobs and Lima are the perfect match and seeing her on that runway was everything.

The Spring/Summer 2016 runway was a bit different as it marked the blending of his Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs lines. That may be why the designer chose to change the venue for the affair as well. Jacobs showed at the Ziegfeld Theater, and social media has been abuzz with the hashtag #MarcJacobsPremiere teasing us with the potential inspiration for the show. Turns out the hashtag was right on the ball. The show was an over the top Hollywood dream! Big bands and vintage glam seemed to be the major theme of the collection's showing. Case in point: Beth Ditto's gorgeous look for the show. While I love that Ditto was everything on the runway, we've got to talk about the gorgeous woman that is Adriana Lima stomping the catwalk looking fierce.

Today, audiences got a glimpse of another very famous model for this NYFW show. Adriana Lima's walk for Marc Jacobs had the stunner looking like she usually does — perfect.

Lima rocked a beautiful 3/4 length sleeve gown with an uber high slit that she totally killed. The delicate red and white floral pattern on the daring gown was the perfect balance to the daring slit.

Lima's smile on the runway says it all. She owned the runway, and hey, it's easy to be excited when you're wearing Marc Jacobs.
