This is The Voice! (dramatic swell of music.) OK, no, it's not. But it will be, soon. The Voice Season 9 returns on Sept. 21, with all of our favorite coaches and brand new advisers. Each season, the already highly-qualified coaches (Pharrell Williams, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton) will be joined by advisers who will help coach the contestants throughout the competition. So who are this season's The Voice celebrity guest advisers? This season is welcoming a long list of celebrity guests to help the contestants reach their fullest potential.
This season has a wife variety of guest advisers. You like hip-hop? Pharrell's adviser has you covered. Are you fan of country? Obviously Blake knows what's up, and has invited one of the biggest names in country. Maybe you like an old school rock band — don't worry — Adam Levine's mentor has got you covered. Then, of course, Gwen Stefani is bringing a huge pop star to the show.
This season, there's also a key advisor that contestants are sure to learn from (and probably get a little star struck by). Here is the list of guest advisers (plus the key adviser) for this season's The Voice.
Pharrell Williams' Adviser: Missy Elliott
Missy Elliott is Pharrell Williams' adviser. Missy Elliott and Pharrell Williams have been working together in the studio, so we know they'll work together well. Williams and Elliott are allegedly working on Elliott's upcoming album together.
Gwen Stefani's Adviser: Selena Gomez
The pop star joining Stefani is Selena Gomez. Gomez, who's best friend (Taylor Swift) was the key adviser for a past season of The Voice, joins Stefani's team to help mentor those that Stefani picks during the audition round. Gomez has come out with new music this summer, and even has an album coming out in October.
Adam Levine's Adviser: John Fogerty
John Fogerty returns to The Voice as Adam Levine's adviser. The Creedence Clearwater Revival singer made an appearance on The Voice Season 8 when he performed with the Season 8 winner. There's no doubt that music fans will be thrilled to have an adviser like Fogerty helping their journey.
Blake Shelton's Adviser: Brad Paisley
Two of the biggest stars in country are teaming up this season when Blake Shelton welcomes Brad Paisley as the Team Shelton adviser. Shelton and Paisley joining up together will probably make any country fan pass out. Paisley joins as an adviser shortly after his stint as a judge on Rising Star, a singing competition show that never had a second season.
Key Adviser: Rihanna
Rihanna (casually) joins the show as the key adviser for Season 9. As the key adviser, Rihanna has the chance to help mentor all contestants on every team.
You can catch all of the advisers on The Voice when Season 9 begins on Sept. 21. No matter what team the contestants make, they definitely have great artists coaching them.
