Someone Get Charlie Sheen Off Twitter

by Rachel Semigran

Just two days ago, Charlie Sheen tweeted an epic poem that slammed Phil Robertson’s hateful and homophobic language in the now infamous GQ interview. That moment, however, was as fleeting as we hope Robertson’s career will be. Sheen tweeted earlier today, “I came up with a PERFECT holiday idea! Denise and Phil Robertson should get married! then he can practice the Bestiality he hates!” Gross. And of Sheen’s 10 million plus Twitter followers, nearly 700 people (so far) have favorited that vile speech that made him just as low and “desperately sub evolved” as Robertson.

Sheen has been lashing out at his ex-wife Denise Richards recently on Twitter over their holiday plans with their daughters. He went so far as to tweet a photo of a knife and a piece of wedding memorabilia torn to shreds last week.

And in the classiest of responses, Richards tweeted, “@charliesheen U done ranting? keep it classy dude. Our kids don't need to be privy to this,U are welcome 2 spend xmas w/us Hope u still come.”

This whole Phil Robertson controversy has sparked massive conversations about freedom of speech and “liberty.” One politician went so far as to claim that Robertson is the Rosa Parks of our generation. Robertson has also compared himself to Jesus for his "persecution." And now Charlie Sheen has dragged Denise Richards into the whole thing and called the mother of his children an animal.

We were on his "side" for a split second when he shared that anti-Robertson poem, but it didn't take long for him to remind us that he is, in fact, without a doubt, the worst.

Please, let this be over soon.

You stay classy, Denise.
