These Jobs Had The Biggest Pay Raises Last Year

As much as you may love the person who makes your lattes perfectly every Saturday morning, chances are they don't make anywhere near enough money to justify the horror of an undercaffeinated, cranky, weirdly obsessive customer base — until recently, that is. Earlier this week, baristas were named as one of the top 10 jobs with the biggest pay raises in the past year, along with a bunch of other jobs containing "analyst" and "consultant" in the titles. As a former barista, I can assure you that it would take a truly exorbitant amount of money to offset getting up at 4 a.m. every Saturday to make PSL after PSL, but you know what? Every little bit helps.

Job and recruiting website Glassdoor analyzed statistics recently released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics to come up with a list of the 20 jobs with the biggest pay raises between September 2014 and September 2015. In contrast to the national average pay raise of around three percent, Glassdoor writes on its blog that the following jobs saw wage increases of three to 10 percent over the past 12 months. Most are the typical white-collar jobs that you'd expect to get large raises; analysts, engineers, and managers of all varieties feature heavily in the list. 10. Research Scientist

2015 Pay: $85,000

9. Systems Analyst
