Mia Wasikowska Goes Sweet For Photo Call

It has already been well established that Mia Wasikowska is absolutely slaying the press tour for Crimson Peak, her latest film project. But it's clear that for the latest stop in Berlin, Germany, Wasikowska wanted to embrace the last remnants of summer by wearing an adorable white Miu Miu dress. She went sweet and feminine, but she still slayed.

The film, set to release Oct. 16, has Wasikowska playing a newlywed who discovers she can speak with the dead that haunts her new husband's (none other than the dashing Tom Hiddleston's) home in the English countryside. The movie sounds absolutely frightening, and I would expect nothing less from Director Guillermo Del Toro. But if Wasikowska's ensembles for the press tour are any indication, it's a must-see. She has truly been dazzling in black graphic frocks, LBDs, and even black and white trouser-and-blouse combinations.

But her latest from Berlin was sweet and adorable, and is by far the most unique piece she has worn recently. While I have a feeling the black pieces she has been mainly wearing capture the horror and suspense of this new film, I can't help but love seeing Wasikowska in a white frock on the red carpet.

The dress is short and flowing with a cinched belt at the waist. It fits Wasikowska like a glove, especially around her waist and shoulders. Plus, the interesting crochet detail near the neckline, as well as the long sleeves, give it just enough girlish, formal detail to make it a lovely option for a photo call event. I want to say that the dress looks like a grown-up version of a child's formal gown, but that doesn't do it justice.

Beyond the dress, she didn't wear too many accessories, which is not uncommon for her. That being said, she did wear an amazing pair of light beige stilettos with a pointed toe. The shoes let the gorgeous dress speak for itself.

Wasikowska is one of those celebrities who can pull anything off without a lot of bells and whistles. I would describe her style as simple, pretty, and chic, and this look falls squarely in line with that description.
