John Stamos Will Reportedly Be Charged With A DUI

by Michelle McGahan

Several months after the Grandfathered actor was arrested for driving under the influence, John Stamos is reportedly being charged with a DUI , according to TMZ. The site's sources claim that the Fuller House star (who completed a stint in rehab following his arrest) was allegedly driving under the influence of GHB, a "date rape drug" that Stamos was allegedly using as a "fitness supplement" to "lean out body mass" for his work on TV. In addition to the GHB TMZ claims was found in his system, the outlet also claims that another "non-narcotic" drug was also present in the actor's system.

The 52-year-old star was arrested in June after Beverly Hills police pulled him over for allegedly driving erratically. After being released from the hospital later on, Stamos immediately released a statement via Twitter:

"Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I'm home & well," he wrote at the time. "Very appreciate of the BHPD and Cedars for their care."

Almost a month later, the actor checked into a rehab facility, completing the 30-day program and later going on to host the Teen Choice Awards, hype his show Grandfathered, and work with his Fuller House cast — even staying in touch with his Full House family during his time in treatment.

"John texted us pictures while he was away, and just said, 'Hey, I’m doing great,' and we communicated through the whole thing," Candace Cameron Bure revealed.

According to TMZ, Stamos' case will be filed "soon." Earlier Thursday, Oct. 8, Stamos took to Instagram to share a photo of himself reading a script.

"The reward for working hard?" he wrote. "More hard work."

Bustle has reached out to a representative for Stamos for a comment, but did not hear back at the time of publication.
