What To Wear To A Wedding Rehearsal
Trying to figure out what to wear to a wedding rehearsal can be tricky business. You don’t want to be underdressed, but you also certainly don’t want to out-do the bride with your level of glam! Follow the tips below to find the perfect rehearsal look.
My sister recently got married, so I understand how there can be some confusion over what’s appropriate or not at wedding-related events. As her maid of honor, I got plenty of phone calls, texts, and Facebook messages asking how formal or casual the wedding rehearsal would be. Pro tip: If you’re totally in the dark on how formal something is, just reach out to the MOH or bride in advance. It's their job to make sure you're in the loop, so always ask!
Practicality-wise, don’t forget to take into account where the wedding rehearsal and following dinner will be. Beach wedding? You’re probably going to want to wear sandals. Formal chapel with freezing cold air conditioning? Consider reaching for a chic jacket option before you walk out the door or layering with your dress to stay warm.
The outfits below range from cute and casual to borderline black tie formal. And remember, whether or not you disagree with the bride about her level of formality at the rehearsal, don’t forget that it’s her wedding not yours! Just go along with her requests and help her make this night as stress-free and fun as it should be.
