Chrissy Teigen Is Going To Be The Best Mom

If you haven’t already done so, now’s a good time to collect your most celebratory emojis and send them Chrissy Teigen’s way. Because on Monday night, via Twitter and Instagram, Teigen announced that she and John Legend are expecting a baby. In terms of celebrity baby announcements and abounding excitement, this one ranks high because, for those of us who follow her, it kind of feels like we really know her, doesn’t it? She’s super open and honest and real on all of her social media platforms and, because of that, this announcement is giving me major feels.

Well, I suppose her openness isn’t the only reason why I’m gushing. It was her Instagram caption that really thawed my icy heart. She wrote,

John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :) As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We're so excited that it's finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx.

I don't know about you, but I have absolutely no doubt that Teigen is going to be a fantastic mom. Here are 11 clear cut reasons why.

She played some hardcore offense to stick up for Puddy, like any mama wanting to shield their baby from vicious Internet trolls would.

Pretty sure annual, forced family pictures are in the mom handbook. Listen, I don't make the rules.
