Celebrities are proving time and time again that old school fashion rules are, in fact, totally outdated. Winter white is #trending in celebrity land per Kylie Jenner and Cate Blanchett, and now another trend is being translated from summer to fall. Kate Hudson wore a floral gown to the La Mer Celebration of an Icon event in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, proving pretty flowers are not just for spring and summer.
The 36-year-old looked fabulous in the sheer black long-sleeve gown which was fully adorned in large bold blossoms. The sea of purple, blue, and green florals was reminiscent of a gorgeous watercolor mural, with colors spilling into each other in a haphazard fashion.
The high neck was balanced perfectly with the centered thigh-high slit, which flaunted a whole lot of leg and gave the ensemble a sultry feel. Hudson paired the dress with satin nude peep-toe stilettos.
The actress kept her long blonde locks simple with loose waves parted at the center, and flaunted a deep cranberry lip color that further tied into the fall theme of the look. Overall she looked fashion-forward, seasonally appropriate and downright gorgeous. This is how you do floral for fall, so take notes.
