'The Force Awakens' Stars LOVE The New Trailer

by Daniela Cabrera

I have to say I did not get much sleep on Monday night. Between Drake's new video for "Hotline Bling" and rumors of a Netflix revival of Gilmore Girls , I was like a moth to the flame of the Internet. Sorry to everyone I bailed on in the real world; important things were happening. On top of that, as I danced to "Hotline Bling," I was alerted to the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer that premiered on Monday and blew away me, and many other fans around the world. And the lead actors of The Force Awakens , Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, were also blown away judging by the videos of their reactions to the trailer they shared on social media.

What I especially love about Ridley and Boyega's reactions to the trailer is that they watched the preview in a totally normal way: Ridley on her phone and Boyega on his television. I guess I expected they would have been delivered a copy of the trailer with loads of bells and whistles. Seeing them react the way they did really shows how important the film is for these, as of now, two relatively unknown actors. Just like us fans, they got cozy with some friends and FLIPPED OUT.

Ridley plays Rey in the film and what we know of the character so far is that she is self-sufficient and from a desert planet called Jakku. As Ridley's caption on the video says, her friend filmed her viewing the trailer from her smartphone and it ends with tears.

Boyega, who plays Finn, was enjoying an Lakers game when his friend alerted him to the release of the trailer. In the video below, he asks, "What's the time?" and then disappears out of frame:

A second video shows him perched on his couch, preparing himself for the epic. He nods his head in approval with a repeated, "YEP! YEP! YEP!" My thoughts exactly, John.

He then hurls himself over his couch — I won't comment any further on whether I did that or not myself.

The cast weren't the only people freaking out. Besides millions on fans on social media, some celebs shared their excitement for The Force Awakens trailer, as well:

Oct. 19 also marked the first day of advanced ticket sales for the movie, which expectedly also completely broke the Internet. Until Dec. 18, I will join the sentiments of Ridley, Bodeya and millions of Star Wars fans around the world in saying that WE ARE HERE FOR...
